TThe project is implemented under Erasmus +, Key Activity - "Educational mobility of citizens”. Type of activity - "Mobility of staff in the school.“ Title of the Project: “Knowledgeable teachers. Capable students. Successful school. " Beginning of the project: June 2015 Duration: 24 months At SOU " Hristo Botev " study more than half of all the pupils in the municipality of Kubrat . The school is attractive despite the unfavorable demographic processes. There are more than 600 students from 1st to 12th grade. At the school work 53 teachers, 37 of them have defended the vocational degree. The project is aimed at the teachers as learners, and through it to students that they teach. The main aim was determined in accordance with long-term objectives, mission and vision of the school. It aims to implement the Europe 2020 Strategy and the EU policy in the field of education. The "European Development Plan” of the school was prepared. The following objectives were determined: • To motivate teachers to improve their skills, try out new ideas and share knowledge with colleagues and students. • To improve the ability of teachers to manage effectively their work and to be able to raise intercultural and conflict solution awareness. • To encourage pupils to be more active and more responsible learners and to have sense of initiative and entrepreneurship. • To improve pupils’ language learning skills , which will help them to understand and accept cultural diversity and European values and thus to be active citizens . • Integration of European cooperation in education programs. The planned topics of mobility are part of the school development plan according to the needs discussed in school subject departments and included in individual plans of teachers as prospective participants in the mobility. The participants in the mobility were approved by the school committee by predefined and accepted from the pedagogical council criteria. good language training / minimum level B2 / motivated interest of candidates a plan for preparation and distribution registration and experience in eTwinning During the period, preceding the mobility, the project activities were discussed and planned with the school management , colleagues , and in some aspects with students . This reflected favorably on the activation of both sides - teachers and students. It reflected especially in the period after returning of the mobility and performing and applying in the knowledge they have learnt in the classroom. Concrete results are in several directions: - Teaching a foreign language - both methods and using new techniques that will simply engage students in learning and motivate them at the same time - Improving the language skills of both language teachers and other teachers . - Raising interest of students in classes , active involvement in school life , creating a positive classroom environment and thus - prevention of early school leaving . - Prevention of conflicts, aggression and bullying at school - in various forms between students, teachers and parents. - Overcoming " fear" of teachers to use new media and devices / tablets, ipads / , which most students utilize , and use them in the learning process . - Successful integration of innovations in the curriculum and in everyday work, developing training resources and availability for use by a large number of teachers. - Experience in generating new ideas and developing projects involving teachers and students. The expected continuing impact of the project is: - To build on the acquired competences among the other teachers and each subsequent class of students. - To improve the teaching and learning key competences and the formation of functional literacy among students. - To increase interest in opportunities for teachers and students that Erasmus + provides. In longer term - the school has the capacity to present and support teachers from nine other schools in the municipality in the adaptation and application according to the particular conditions of good practices. The project continued two years and there were 12 motilities for both structured courses and European Studies conferences visits.
