Zmieniamy szkołę na miarę nowych czasów
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Dec 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Contemporary school must become an increasingly innovative organization, open for any new things, seeing problems from different perspectives, sensitive to signals and challenges of the educational market and ready to implement changes. Therefore it must develop its innovation, ensuring professional management and creating attractive conditions for people who show the willingness to change the reality. To make the change possible, it is necessary to convince the teachers to the need for change and to get rid of fears of implementing it. Teachers – even those who speak English – fear the implementation of the language in their classes. We can help them break the fear, by proposing them improvement of their language skills and exchanges with partner schools. Support that they should get is also about workshops concerning their subjects and TIK tools so they can make their classes attractive for pupils who are interested in new technologies. Our project is aimed at teachers who have basic English skills and they conduct classes that pupils like and rate highly due to the attractiveness of the subject. These are mainly classes of ICT, mathematics, arts and science, especially if they are conducted using experiments.Main aims of the project are: increasing the language skills of teachers, development of teaching methods regarding their subject and regarding using ICT tools, changes in the organization of the work of the school – implementing elements of bilingualism in classes of arts, ICT and science, creating new innovative teaching programmes of these subjects. A very important aim is also managing the change implemented and diminishing the fear of change. The number of participants is two people from the managing board of the school, art teacher, ICT teacher and mathematics teachers and teachers whose profile will be agreed with the partner school by the “job shadowing” type of exchange. Altogether it will be 10 people.During the project, teachers will realize actions which are about cooperating with partners and implementing elements of bilingualism in their classes. Results such as created training materials, guidebooks, documentation of experiences and the acquired knowledge (for example pupils’ works, documentation of classes: conspectus, scenarios, videos, photos, participants’ memories etc.) will be published on the eTwinning platform, on the school’s website, on the blog of the project and during meetings and direct contacts with other teachers and other institutions. They will be also used during work with next groups of pupils and included in the scenarios of classes by other teachers. Promotion actions regarding the project are: creating a blog of the project, press information, broadcasts in the local radio, presentation of projects during seminars, conferences, meetings with teachers from other schools. Inviting teachers from other schools as well as parents for open lessons. We would like our school to become more and more modern, more and more friendly and efficient which means that it will ensure the best possible effects reached by every teacher according to his or her personal skills, abilities and talents. This is what the good change is about.
