Our intention was to allow our teachers to learn new methods, forms and contents of education at the international level. It was designed for two teaching employees, the teachers of English language, with the opportunity of mobility abroad. The main objective of the project was to support the career development of foreign language teaching methodology. The project participants extended their teaching knowledge and skills about new methods and forms of education, necessary for teaching process which are added to school educational program and used in lessons. They gained new inspirations from colleagues from other countries with whom they established new contacts and maintain in contact even after the course. They improved their communication skills and enriched their participation in the project about cultural and historical sights of London. The participants of the course, which took place in February 2016 for a period of one week, were two English teachers. All these objectives were achieved by the implementation of major activities. These included active participation in training course, establishing contacts and staying in touch with the course tutors and partners from other European countries and their mutual cooperation in order to compare feedback. It also included the monitoring of professional development and the implementation of relevant information into the school educational program and their subsequent use in lessons. Before the course the participants organised meetings to fix their technical terminology of the maximum amount of knowledge in the field of language teaching and thus be best prepared for the course itself. They also led the debates about the culture and history of London and the UK. During the course, all participants attended the language sessions to improve their language level. The participation in the course created a partnership of international character; the course participants deepened their pedagogical knowledge and enhanced new knowledge they gained knowledge about teaching in other European countries. It was also provided the space for the comparison of the educational practices in Slovakia with other countries. Various teaching methods and other forms of training are incorporated into the school educational program and consequently to the teaching process which will be long-term benefits in terms of improving the quality of teaching languages in our school.
