The project was created as a reaction to increasing demands on English skills and teaching. The aim of the project is to enhance the English language skills of teachers at our school and to enable teachers and pupils to actively take part in several international projects. Six teachers will take part in the project; two from primary education and four from lower secondary. Two teachers are fully qualified teachers of English and they will focus on English teaching methodology. The rest are teachers of other subjects (IT, PE, maths). The main activities of the project lie in taking part in several in-training courses focused on the one hand on intensive English studies, on the other hand on improving and revitalising of English teaching methodology. Last but not least we will attend a course focused on outdoor and environment teaching. The main impact of the project will be improvement of English language teaching both on primary and secondary levels, an offer of appropriate English interest groups for all levels of pupils and improvement of English conversation teaching methods. We will also put a stronger emphasis on outdoor and enviromental teaching methods. We will also take part in an international KA2 project focused on our environment and within this project we will implement some features of outdoor teaching activities. The great contribution of the project lies in bigger motivation of teachers and students to take an active part in international projects organized by our school. The longterm contribution will be improvement of English language teaching and implementation of different findings from the courses abroad into our school education programme.
