Project "ZÎLE ROKÂ UN MEÞA RUKSIS LAIMÎGS" is organized by local association "Bio kultûra". The project is made by and for 10 environment friendly young people. The project will take place in Valmiera region for 10 month (starting from 1 September 2011 till 1 July 2012). The aims of this project are to learn careful attitude towards nature, to contribute the conservation of biodiversity for next generations, to learn how to sell our ideas and to find soul mates. The main activities of our project are visiting secular trees of Vidzeme, picking acorns, building feeding places for wild animals and planting oak trees for next generations. Only informal education methods will be used in this project - young people will learn from their own experience. The result of our project will be a guidebook "In The World Of Oak Trees" wich collects ideas about possibilities of usage of oak components for food, beauty and medicine. The list of secular trees of Vidzeme also will be included in guidebook.
