Zelena Irska za zelenu Neretvu
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

„Learn how to sow, grow, pick, sell and charge!“ is the guiding principle of our school. We acknowledge learning as a lifelong process, thus we have decided to apply for the mobility project in which we could learn something new in a different way. We have put emphasis on a student. A student is in the centre of a learning process! Student should obtain enough general as well as professional expertise in order to continue his education or to succeed in the labour market. The aim of this project is increase in the level of knowledge and skills of young people and empowering them with new cognitions about the models of self-employment and market opportunities. In order to implement project activities the project team has been established consisting of members of the school as well as of the one member of the partner organization. Target group are student of two vocations: 7 pupils are agricultural technicians-phytopharmacist and 8 pupils are commercialists. In the long run target groups are the regional and local firms, local and regional authorities. They will, following our example, be encouraged and acquainted with the possibilities of financing different projects with the grants of the EU or through EU funding. Mobility project has been divided into several main activities. Preparatory activities – include signing the contact between the school and a partner organization, selection of students for mobility, communication with parents, travelling organization and organisation of insurance of students. Lingual and cultural preparations will be conducted as well as VET and psychological and pedagogical support. Partner organisation is responsible for arranging the accommodation and food for the participants. Partner organisation is responsible for VET training of the students in Irish companies. In the preparatory process detailed program of the mobility will be developed. Throughout the preparatory process, dissemination of the project will be assured.Mobility activities in March 2017 – include getting to know the companies, pupil’s mentors, working places where VET training will be conducted. Organization of the different aspects will be assured such as: transportation to and from working and accommodation place, VET training, regular visiting and keeping records of the pupils, keeping records of VET training/pupil’s diary, regular meetings with students and mentors. After working hours accompanying teachers will spend free time with the pupils in order to conduct cultural activities and getting acquainted with the Irish tradition and customs.Dissemination activities in April and May 2017 – include different dissemination and evaluation activities, issuing certificates of the VET training and issuing Europass Mobility Document. At the end final narrative and financial reports will be developed. Considering the fact that all successful projects start with detailed planning process we find our mobility project realistic and attainable. At the end of this mobility project, as the result of the implemented activities, positive results for target groups and our local community will be achieved.
