The project“Let's build our European home together!” includes the technological and educational subjects as well as provides the duration of the apprenticeship according to that defined in the Decree of the Ministry of Education for the profession of technician of construction. Within the bounds of the project 15 students of the third grade of the Construction Technical school at School Complex named after St.Staszic in Staszow, that comes out as the applicant and the mover . The school is represented by the principal Mr Izydor Grabowski. Our students will serve the 4-week apprenticeship in Leipzig (Schkeuditz), Germany, from 14.09.2015 to 09.10.2015 within 28 days including the time of transporting. Our Partner is Vitalis GmbH from Germany represented by Mr Ralf Giesecke, the coordinator of our project is Ms Małgorzata Worona. During the stay of our trainees in Germany, Leipzig – Szkeuditz, Gut – Wehlitz, our students will have the opportunity to serve apprenticeship which is going to be the continuation of the current educational cycle, to get acquainted with the cultural richness of the region through the organised guided tours to Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig. The participants will work at the building site situated next to the head office of our hosting Partner. They will renovate and rebuild the old knight castle. To cope with more and more demanding work market we should change our approach to the education in the sphere of construction. It also concerns the way of teaching. Taking into consideration all the above mentioned aspects and with the help of logical matrix we can name the aims of our project. The strategic aim of is to improve professional competence and skills in the field of general construction through the increasing mobility of trainees,to get students acquainted with the mode of serving apprenticeship in Germany. Other very important assumed direct objectives for our students which will grow into the benefits and results for our students are: - to prepare an appropriate place for serving apprenticeship - to organise the departure of our students to Germany - to gain knowledge and experience connected with their job - to promote the job of a builder - to search for new energy-saving technologies - to motivate our students to increase their qualifications - to gain experience connected safety rules at work, - to improve the methods of work arrangement at the working place - to deepen the knowledge of technical German and/or English - to implement of gained knowledge at the practical lessons at school, this way we will increase the quality a nd attractiveness of studying at our school and at work after graduation from school. - to get acquainted with the culture of Germany For the Partner the direct objectives are: to prepare appropriate place for the apprenticeship connected with the major of education in Poland and in the EU,it includes the mutual exchange of experience between the employers and trainees, professional monitoring and care ensuring safety of our students during their stay and work as well as accommodation and board. The above mentioned objectives enable further modernisation of the existing teaching base and adjusting of programmes to constantly changing conditions in Germany and in Poland. We also think that our graduates learn new methods used in the EU with further implementation of then in Poland and perfect their command of German and English. The influence of the project at the European level includes gaining experience that increases the mobility of participants of the vocational training process on the European work market. We are also expecting the improvement of their competitiveness and possibility of further employment in Europe or in Poland; gaining knowledge,skills and qualifications that enable personal development and growth, the participants deepen their knowledge about cultural heritage of other people. For a month our students become the residents of some other country, they find out what the way of life of the German youth is, they study how to follow the rules and traditions that differ from those in Poland. On the other hand,during the placement German youth has the chance to know more about people of the neighboring country and their customs. It is important for deepening of friendly relationship between our countries and eliminating stereotypes, participants realize the necessity of having a good command of foreign languages to communicate and exchange experience. The effects of the project in Poland may be as follows: :we need professionals who can get the necessary experience and put it into practice, to improve their competitiveness and entrepreneurship on Polish work market. As regional needs we could mention the expected improvement of activity and efficiency of graduates in our region. We are going to verify the results of the project with the help of tests, reports, certificates given to our students.
