The project was carried out from July 2014 to June 2016 in cooperation with an experienced in the realization of mobility projects German training agency Vitalis Betreuungsgesellschaft für Modellprojekte mbH. The participants of the project took part in an abroad training lasting from 2 to 4 weeks in mechanical, gastronomical and service firms. According to the assumptions of the project the training comprised three sessions: 28 Sept. 2014 – 25 Oct. 2014; 12 Apr. 2015 – 25 Apr. 2015; 29 Nov. 2015 – 19 Dec. 2015. The participants of the project, before they leave for the foreign training, underwent preparations in the sphere of culture, language and pedagogy, which strengthened their potential and developed their communication and interpersonal skills. Awareness developing activities motivated students to an active participation in the project and prepared them to the functioning in a multicultural environment. The project has been designed in such a way as to account for the needs of the students at this particular stage of the education who are supposed to have vocational training in firms according to the profile of their studies. The graduates gained job experience which will make it easy for them to enter a labor market. The project aimed at the vocational development of students and graduates, increase of the mobility among young people, gaining knowledge of the new better teaching methods, opening of young people to the innovative approach to learning, getting familiar with the work of foreign companies acting in the fields in which students want to specialize, comparing work methods adopted in Poland and other European countries and developing the ability to work in an international team. The evaluation report - made after the training - shows that the competences of the beneficiaries have increased and the aims of the project have been fully achieved. One of the expected material outcomes of the project in the sphere of vocational abilities is the creation of a group of 41 students and graduates trained according to their future profession. As a result, students’ chance to find employment in accordance with their expectations is much bigger. Moreover, the participants who want to establish their own firms after they finish school, have received a substantial support. The result of the project is also a development of participants’ language skills in the use of the German language confirmed with a certificate Europass - Language Passport , and vocational skills confirmed with a certificate Europass - Mobility, as well as European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) on the basis of the partnership agreement entitling a given student of a Secondary Technical School to getting a promotion to the next class after completing a vocational training. A non material result is the crossing of the language barrier in communication, the increase of self-esteem and the ability to overcome stress. There was a change of opinions about the cultural diversity and overcoming stereotypes. A foreign vocational training is a sufficient period to transfer new experience to the local area. The realization of the project increased the prestige of the school and strengthened its position among vocational educational institutions.
