This individual EVS project takes place in Zatik orphanage, in Yerevan, in Armenia. The Service will last 9 months from September 2009 until June 2010. The themes are art and culture and education through sport and outdoor activities. The volunteer is French. She will work mainly with children aged between 5 and 15 years old. She will assist in offering workshops and leisure time activities to orphan children, who will have the opportunity to draw, sculpture, learn different national and foreign songs, games, disco dancing, etc. The objective of this project is to provide non formal educational activities to orphan children and to prepare them for an independent life. In addition, the volunteer will be encouraged to propose activities according to her own interests and skills. She will introduce her traditions, customs and culture which will help children to understand easier foreign society and life style. She will be invited to organize a performance and exhibition with songs and dances of her home country.
