Škola za montažu instalacija i metalnih konstrukcija provides VET for 3 occupations included in the project: students of 2nd and 3rd year of education: water plumber, gas installer, heating and air condition installer. Each occupation will be presented by 10 students in two flows, in total of 20. The goal of the project is learning through practical work in companies, that will be organized and agreed by partner KWVD from Frankfurt DE with craftsmen and companies. During the apprenticeship-practical work in Germany students will gain insight into the competencies gained during education in Germany. This will be the basis for comparison with the Croatian education system outcomes. Also, they will get familiar with the situation on the labor market and job opportunities in Germany. Students will become familiar with new materials, new technology and tools used during installation, get an overview of latest heating, gas and hot and cold water installation systems, inspection and testing of heating, gas and cold water installations, installation of various industrial and residential systems and professional rules and standards in the EU and in particular the provisions of the occupational health safety in Germany. Students will be motivated to acquire new skills related to the profession, as well as to deepen the knowledge of the German language, that will make them more competitive on the European labour market in the future. Experience in this mobility will give students confidence for independent mobility during further professional work. During practical work students will get familiar with placement company, master-teachers will present program of practical training in Germany, and obligations of master-teachers during apprenticeships in Germany. KWVD is a partner of Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Hessen and representative of the Vocational training centre of the Chamber. It will find the best practice solutions for students’ practical training for two weeks. Detailed program will be agreed with the School and it will be considered in the total number of practical hours in Croatia. Project will be implemented in two flows: 10 students and 2 teachers during March and April 2015. in Frankfurt/Germany. Students will get familiar with placement company, they will learn rules of quality in all phases of the installation procedure of gas and water installations, heating installation and air condition, in residential and various industrial systems, they will install new gas and water appliances, new technology in heating, gas and water systems, fault-finding and repairing complex heating systems etc. Weekend will be for cultural, sightseeing, touristic and sports activities in Frankfurt. Expected results of the mobility: -20 students -gained practical skills in gas and water installing -acquired knowledge of new techniques, tools and new technologies in the field of installers of water, gas and heating and air condition -20 students with working experience in Germany that will transfer experience to master-teachers in Croatia with the aim of development of apprenticeship training in Zagreb - 4 teachers–gained knowledge about organization of apprenticeship training in Germany - 24 participants with enlarged social and linguistic competence Products from the mobility project during preparation and conduction: - materials and brochure about Germany, economic and cultural characteristics of Hessen Region - cultural and linguistic preparations certificate of attendance -Europass Certificate, that will contribute to personal development of participants and encourage them for further improvement - Certificate of attendance issued by School -materials on professional issues that will be collected from the placement companies -completed evaluation questionnaires and participants reports - final report posted on web site of the School, presented to teachers’ council, Chamber of Trades and Crafts, City of Zagreb-Department for vocational training etc.
