The project entitled “Foreign Traineeship as a Prospect for the European Level competences” has been prepared by the Stanislaw Staszic Complex of School No 1 form Olkusz, Poland, together with a German partner – the Vitalis GmbH company. The aim of the project is to develop the professional and language skills of 40 students to give them better prospects for employment in the future. The participants will be students who specialise to be landscape architecture technicians, car mechanic technicians, electrical technicians, electronics technicians and mechatronics technicians. The project will be carried out from 1st June 2016 to 31st May 2017. The aims of the project are to increase the students' skills, knowledge and experience in accordance with their specialization, to develop their knowledge of German and English, including the specific professional vocabulary, to increase the interpersonal competences of the students and their personal development, to boost the students' motivation for improving their professional and language competences and to give them greater knowledge of German culture and tradition in order to develop their tolerance and intercultural openness. At the same time the project will greatly affect the school itself, it will improve the quality of professional training and will help to adjust our educational offer to the requirements of the European job market. The participating staff will increase their competences with creating and managing such projects, their language skills and maintaining of the international cooperation. It will grow the school's potential and will allow for further professional and personal development of our staff. At the same time the school will be more recognizable locally. Before they leave for Germany, the participating students will take part in the preparatory language, cultural and pedagogical classes that should support their mobility. Then, they will take part in 4-week traineeship between 2nd October 2016 and 29th October 2016, two days for the journey included. The students will be accompanied by two teachers. Once they come back from the mobility, the school will take actions to implement and promote the results of the project. As a result of the program forty students of the Stanislaw Staszic Complex of School No 1 will take part in a foreign traineeship, they will obtain the Europass Mobility certificates issued by the host and sending organization, the school will make new international connections on the field of professional training. The participants will develop their interpersonal, language and professional competences connected with their specializations. They will learn about German culture and traditions, they will grow they awareness of different cultures and religions, and finally, they will learn to be more open and tolerant. Being a part of the project will help them build their self-confidence, creativity, stress resistance and ability to adopt to new situations. It will help them to be mobile at work markets and will give them better prospects for employment in their professions.
