ZAGRANICZNE PRAKTYKI - KROKIEM DO KARIERY
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: Dec 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The “Foreign Traineeships – a Step in the Career” project will begin on 1st June 2016 and will last for 19 months, i.e. until the end of 2017. It will be carried out by the Board of Schools Agricultural Centre of Permanent Education at Przemystka together with a German company Vitalis GmbH. The project aims at increasing competence and work skills of secondary students to help them find jobs. It also focuses on developing social, personal, organizational and language competences. The students will grow their intercultural awareness and sense of initiative. The project will increase their motivation and self-esteem.Both partner organizations will improve the quality of training, organizational competences, increase the multicultural awareness and openness. The project will help them build and maintain new connections abroad, gain high prestige, increase mobility on the field of education. What is more, it will help their staff to get new experience and language competence. The aims stated above will be reached by organizing foreign traineeships for seventy students who specialise to be economic technicians, food and catering technicians and hotel services technicians. Students will go abroad in two groups, one in January and February 2017 and the other in June and July 2017. Before the mobility the students will get a complex training that will prepare them for it, i.e. intensive course of German/English, pedagogical classes connected with the idea of their specialization and cultural classes. What is more, the school will reduce any possible risk by paying the insurance, signing adequate agreements, providing the students with uniforms and safe forms of transportation. During the apprenticeship in Germany the students will develop their work, personal, social and language competences because they will operate in working companies on daily basis. What is more, they will take part in work visits and cultural trips organized by the partner, for example trips to Dresden and Berlin. When the students return from the traineeship we are going to disseminate the results of the project in several ways: we will make a film about the project activities, interviews with the participating students, organise meetings with parents, local authorities and businessmen, also, pupils who plan to come to our school the following year. The project will bring several positive results not only for the participating students, but also for the school and local people. It will make our school internationally recognizable, more open for cultural diversity of the modern Europe, more innovative on the field of practical education and uniting theory with practice. Employers will get new flexible, courageous and creative workers with international work experience. Both the school and the partner organization will improve the qualifications of their staff and get new experience. This project is a chance to give the students better work perspectives, chance for the school to make it internationally recognizable and chance to promote the idea of constant learning within the local society.
