BSC ‘Akademiks’ throughout the years has developed a consistent policy and methodology that involves actively youths 16-29 in the management activities of the federation and the teams by assigning different various stages of the realization of projects - sport and social activities, thus creating opportunities for youths to gain specific tasks and train basic qualities and competences in soft skills – communication, trust, responsibility, legibility, decision making, conflict resolution and teamwork, that can be later implemented as basic competences in the labor market. BCS Akademiks maintains a close relationship and communication with the youths actively involved in the sport process and the managing bodies of the association are acquainted with the problems that youths face. The association is looking for opportunities not only to develop the sport abilities in youths, but also seeks to develop their personal qualities, to train youths in soft skill and the concept of responsibility. For dealing with problems that youths face the following goals have been established: Main goal: Creating proper conditions for the successful realization and personal growth of youths, including those in poorly inhabited areas in Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia by developing leadership qualities, gaining knowledge and training abilities for youth entrepreneurship by developing their civil awareness and active participation. Specific goals: -Encouraging entrepreneur attitude and generating innovative solutions in favor of personal development and local youth community. -Capacity building in youths for an active civil participation by increasing their knowledge for their EU citizenship and their human rights resulting from that citizenship -Increasing the visibility of European programs and opportunities that support youths in their fight against unemployment on an European level -Promoting non-formal education as a tool for involving young people in today’s labor market -Exchange of experience between young people from various European countries facing similar problems in their professional realization -Networking to exchange ideas and educational opportunities between youths and professional communities -Creating lasting partnerships between the organizations involved in the project To achieve the abovementioned objectives a six-day youth exchange will be conducted involving Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. The youth exchange will be held in the city of Dupnitsa, Bulgaria in September 2015. The project will actively involve 60 youth participants.
