The “Together against Aggression” Project will feature a youth exchange that will be held in Pamporovo, Bulgaria, between 20.08.2016 and 29.08.2016 and will be attended by 50 youngsters from Bulgaria and Greece. The major goal of this project is young people to acquire new knowledge and skills through informal education forms and be encouraged to practice outdoor activities and become involved in mass sport as a way of having a healthy lifestyle, being socially engaged and also as means of overcoming aggression and avoiding anti-social behavior. During the exchange the participants will take an active part in a number of activities related to healthy lifestyle, outdoor activities and promoting tolerance in young people through practicing mass sport as a way of overcoming aggression, discrimination and violence. Young people will be actively involved in the project activities, take part in individual and group assignments, organize the entire process, make decisions and be provided with opportunities for interaction and sharing ideas aimed at avoiding any passive attendance. The project will contribute to enhancing youngsters’ skills and developing new qualities that are also directly related to satisfying particular youth needs associated with healthy lifestyle and overcoming aggression and anti-social behaviors. The event will cover topics like "Aggression and violence – reasons for their manifestation in young people"; "Psychology of aggression and outdoor and mass sport activities as an alternative method of coping with aggressive and anti-social behaviors"; "Healthy lifestyles through outdoor and mass sport activities", etc. Various methods of work typical for informal education will be used to actively involve youngsters. There project will include classes in theory and practice, teamwork, forms of discussion, role-playing games and informal studying through task performance. The participants’ contribution will help them develop a number of competences such as abilities to learn, interpersonal, social, communicative, language and cultural skills. The exchange and establishment of international partnerships will add European dimension and encourage willingness for personal development and youth cooperation at a European level.
