Students of different nationalities, Turks, Syrians, Jews, Israelis, Roma, have come to our school for the last couple of years. Another part of our students are children of single parent families or orphans who are raised by their relatives. The insufficient parental control and the lack of effective ways to deal with the problems set before us the responsibility to search for new working forms and methods to make school a desirable and safe place for our students. Facing the need to improve our professional and personal competences, we have planned to visit an international training course in Finland which will give us the opportunity to get acquainted with and observe one of the most successful educational systems in Europe.The main objective of the project is to learn about one of the most successful educational systems in Europe and the implementation of its effective and working practices in the Bulgarian Educational System. Our specific objectives are the following: to improve the professional training and competences of the teachers; to increase students’ motivation, cognitive activity, thinking and creativity; to provide a supportive and respecting differences environment, where each student will have the opportunity for self-expression and to defend his/her personal opinion; to implement new management models and effective partnership between the school management, teachers, parents, social and cultural institutions.Four participants from our organization will take part in this mobility – the director of the school, the pedagogical adviser and two English teachers – one from primary and one from secondary level. The main activities we will realise are divided in three directions:Activities before the mobility:1.Selection of participants in the project 2.Travel Arrangements 3.Making an agreement with the course provider and the participants 4.Promoting of the project Activities during the mobility:1. Organisation of the stay abroad 2.Coverage of the participation in the training course 3.Monitoring the participants during the training process Activities after the mobility:1.Assessment of all mobility activities and the acquired professional, linguistic and cultural competences2.Official recognition – Europass Mobility Document 3.Dissemination and exploitation of project outcomes4.Writing final report 5.Completing participant questionnaires Expected outcomes and long-term benefits are in several directions:Impact on students:- Increasing students’ motivation to learn, overcoming their passivity and increasing their interest in educational content- Increasing students’ progress and successful performance in municipal, national and international competitions- Through practical focus of the educational content, students will be able to take responsibility, gain practical knowledge and experience of what is happening- Decreasing the number of students who don’t attend school regularly - Students will have access to flexible, project-based learning which will contribute to durability of their knowledge, opportunity for their personal expression and creative thinking- The creation of supportive environment and new type of cooperative relations will make school a desirable place for students to be and will reduce aggressive behaviourImpact on participans:- Increasing the opportunities for professional and career development - Utilization of modern and effective teaching methods- Implementation of successful European practices for team work, integration and socialisation of students, overcoming obstacles to communication, mutual aid and support- Improvement of participants’ linguistic competences Impact on organisation:- Implementation of effective methods of management and control in the school community, new working models for meaningful and supportive relationships: school management - teachers – parents- Strengthening the authority of the school in the local society- Increasing teachers’ motivation and confidence for participation in other international projectsDissemination of project results We will organise:1. A meeting at school to introduce the achievements of the Finnish educational system and its exploitation in Bulgarian school. Target group – teachers from our school.2. Implementation of good practices – project –based and multi-disciplinary lessons. Target group – teachers from other schools in the town and experts from the Regional Inspectorate of Education, Pazardzhik.3. Making of a video presentation with the experience gained during the mobility. Target group - school principals, members of the Union of Employers, pedagogical advisors and representatives of social services, members of the Union of Psychologists in the town.4. Conducting a conference to present the achieved results of the mobility. Target group – members of the Parents’ Board, Students’ Council and local press.5. Posting detailed information on the school website and e-twinning.
