The project is submited by the Secondary Professional School in Benešov - branches Administration and Social Care. The project is aimed to enable the students to work in an English speaking country in their branch and use the knowledge obtained at school and broaden their horizons. 10 students will take part (we expect 5 students of Administration and 5 of Social Care). Students of Administration are trained to use computer programs Word, Excell, Powerpoint. They are able to type and some of them have passed the state exam. Students are alse well trained in law and have practical experience due to practice which is organized from the second class of the school. Students of Social Care are trained to use computer programs Word, Excell, Powerpoint and have good skills in Social Care. Due to practice organized at our schools they have good practical experience. They work for Senior Houses, Care Homes and Children Houses and are going to work at similar places abroad. The English partner is ADC College. Students are going to work a) in the branch of Administration • dealing with incoming and outgoing post • maintaining stationery supplies • reception duties such as greeting and looking after visitors • typing and formatting documents such as letters and reports • updating computer databases • filing • using office equipment such as printers, photocopiers and fax machines • managing diaries. b) in the branch of Social Care • getting to know individual clients and being aware of their special interests and social needs • supporting clients with daily personal care such as washing, dressing, using the toilet and feeding themselves • carrying out general tasks such as housework, laundry and shopping • helping families adjust to new caring responsibilities • working with other health and social care professionals to deliver individual care and development plans • helping to organise recreational activities • escorting clients to and from the residential home (for example, young people attending a local college). In study stays the participants will test their theoretical skills and try them in practise. In this they strenghten their proffesionality. Owing to the stay abroad, the students will improve their English knowledge. They are expected to improve their specific vocabulary and their communication abilities. Students are also expected to braden their portfolio and have a better chance of further education and employment in the Czech Republic and countries of the European Union as well. The study stay will be realized in December 2014 or January 2015 and will last two weeks. rojekt je předkládán na 12 měsíců a předpokládá se pokračování v rámci Erasmus+ i v dalších letech, nejlépe s projekty na 24 měsíců. Owing to this project our school will motivate students, especially those younger who are going to get known about the possibility to travel abroad for experience in Grat Britain and to improve language skills and get work experience. Students are going to get known that European Union makes work possibilities after studies much easier.
