Under the Erasmus+ project „ From Krancowa street to the edge of the European world ….. School Complex no.2 in Ostrzeszow staff mobility programme” teachers from ZS 2 will take part in two-week language-methodology courses held in English, German and Spanish as well as general language courses held in English and German. The courses will take place from July to December 2016 in Germany, Austria, Spain, the UK, Ireland and Malta.The primary goals within the project involve: professional teachers’ development through language and methodology training courses, innovative teaching method implementation– Content and Language Integrated Learning, broadening international cooperation and strengthening its European dimension,implementing new information and communication tools in teachingdevelopment of students’ European identity.22 teachers from ZS 2 will take part in the project. 4 teachers of English, 4 teachers of German, 1 history and social studies teacher, 1 geography and Spanish teacher, 5 vocational teachers, 2 Polish teachers, 1 Polish and history teacher, 1 physics teacher, 1 geography teacher, 1 chemistry teacher and 1 librarian.The teachers will take part in the following courses:English methodology – 3 peopleGerman methodology – 4 peopleSpanish methodology – 1 personProfessional Communication Skills – 1 personGeneral English – 12 peopleGeneral German - 1 person The project will start from choosing the participants, language courses and foreign schools on the basis of the survey conducted among the teachers, which examines teaching competences and training needs, as well as the compatibility with the project targets. Afterwards, the project team will be formed, responsible for the project management. The schedules of accomplishing different tasks and procedures, on basis of which activities shall be completed, will be drawn up. Within the preparation programme for the project, launguage background shall be implemented (language courses and self-studies), methodical background (inter alia:collecting problem questions from the teachers), cultural background and preparations for international cooperation, including idea collection for educational projects and promotional materials of the school, region and Poland itself. For that matter, practical and logistic preparation for travelling abroad will be held (commuting, accomodation, insurance). During the mobility the participants will be monitoring through the transmission of short reports to the project coordinator and the school head teacher. After the completion of the training, each participant will present a report to the head teacher and report to the school teaching staff. During the dissemination of project results, participants will share their knowledge and gained experience with other school and district teachers. They will also inform local schools about obtaining grant-aid from Erasmus +. Teachers participating in the project will also implement the skills learned in school, by modifying the curriculum of foreign languages, enriching educational base for foreign language materials, improving foreign language teaching methodology, the introduction of bilingual CLIL method, and by initiating international educational projects. The project will result in:1. Improving the quality of teaching foreign languages. The teachers will gain the knowledge about the current trends in the methodology of teaching foreign languages and will implement this knowledge in the workplace by modifying and modernizing the syllabuses.2. Developing the linguistic skills of teachers who teach subjects other than foreign languages. The teachers will possess the command of foreign language necessary to conduct the lesson bilingually and make use of foreign teaching aids as well as multimedia tools. The acquired skill will also contribute to the capacity of leading the international educational projects.3. Introducing the larger amount of school subjects being taught in foreign language than now ( for instance: professional subjects, geography, physics, science, polish and history).4. Introducing the innovative IT and communicative technologies, which require the command of foreign languages, on a larger scale.5. Increasing the number of international educational projects being led in cooperation with the schools from different countries and promoting cooperation with the teachers abroad for example by dint of Job shadowing .In a long run the project will influence the improvement of the academic results in internal and external foreign languages exams and exams from other subjects. Apart from that, the project aims at increasing the number of students participating and being successful in competitions and Olympics from different subjects. The school position in the ranking and increasing the chances of the graduates at the open European job market seem to be of the highest importance as well.
