Z Erasmusem+ Lamki zdobywają świat
Start date: Dec 31, 2015, End date: Dec 30, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

As an institution our school is a Team of Schools which consists of the Primary School name of John Paul II and the Public Junior Secondary School name of Irena Sendler in Lamki. The team attends 200 students from small suburban localities of the district of Ostrów Wielkopolski in the Wielkopolska Province. This educational institution employes 25 teachers. As regards the internal and external evaluations of learning outcomes we see a decline in the external examination results especially of humanities and slightly of the natural and mathematical, particularly ratio EWD in junior secondary school exams. This trend persists despite many day-to-day operations of all the teachers and the management of the Team of Schools. The main objective of our project arising from the needs of the school is to improve the effectiveness of education, through the introduction of new teaching methods to meet the needs of a new generation of information technology and implement the methods in our schools. We want to get to know the new teaching methods and confront them with our currently used ones through mobility and participation in trainings conducted in other European Countries. To this objective, we need to improve language skills of the teaching staff. During the project, in the run-up to the mobility, we plan to carry out the language courses related to the use of e-Twinning. Ten teachers of our school will take part in this programme. Three of them are the teachers of humanities, two - of natural and mathematical subjects, two English teachers, one German teacher, one - of physical education, and finally the head teacher of our school. Operations prior to the period of the mobility: The Establishment of the Project Team All the project participants will take part in 120 - hours English language courses, which will be held in the following school year (2015/16). The language courses will be adjusted to individual teachers’ abilities. The courses will end with self - assessment through EUROPASS Language Passport. Four of the teachers will take part in courses on which they will learn the rules of participation in e-Twinning and they will share their knowledge with the Teachers Council of the School in Lamki. The Project Team will diagnose all the needs of the project participants. The team will analyse methodological trainings for foreigners available in Norway (the country with highly effective educational system). with this we plan to use contacts with the National Center EUROPASS which organizes trips for trainings.Operations after the period of the mobility:We will organize a conference for headmasters of our community and representatives of the authorities on which we will present our experiences with mobility.Similar two conferences we will organize for the parents of students of the Primary School, and of the Junior Secondary School in Lamki. We will develop the European School Development Plan for our Team School in Lamki. Our experiences will be collected in the form of multimedia presentation, printed Polish-English a few - pages folder and a few - sentences "Mobility Handbook," which will be presented on the website of our school, and on website of the borough and on e-Twinning.Project participants were selected on a voluntary basis. The participants will select among themselves the Project Team - a group of people that will coordinate the preparation of individual activities, carry out their evaluations and during monthly meetings they will inform participants about the progress of activities and coordinate with the participants of the next actions. The results of the actions:All the participants will obtain Europass Language Passport, some of them will also obtain Passport of Mobility. The compilation of experiences of mobility in the form as it was mentioned before.A collection of lesson plans that use new experiences and methods collected during mobility.Increase participants’ language competence. Overcoming the teachers’ fears of use in the education learning platforms, contemporary IT, including e-Twinning in the implementation of the core curriculum and educational projects. Strengthening the intensity of the school life. Introduced new ways of organizing learning processes will increase the involvement of students in the education process, and this should result in an increase in educational outcomes. We treat the teachers’ participation in this project as a preparation for the next stage of the ERASMUS +, which will focus on youth participation in international exchange, and it will mobilize them to do better work.
