These students are taking the business program and the hotel and tourist program. We will commence the selection of eligible students in May-June via an application procedure, where some questions, that we within the project have decided, should be answered. In addition the students will attach a cover letter. The selection committee consisting of teachers that know the applicant will then hold an interview with the student. Our receiving partners ADC College in England and Europroyector in Spain, have been chosen since they have extensive experience receiving students and placing them at the right internship. They will also be able to help students with various kinds of issues, such as switching internship if the first one was not suitable. The diploma project (final thesis during year three) will be integrated in the internship project and the selected students will present a project plan for the diploma project. The diploma project will be part of the internship period and it will ensure that the final part, the spreading of the Erasmus project, will succeed. The students applying for the internship abroad will commence their final year of upper secondary education in the autumn and the preparations for the project will start in May, at the end of their second year. During autumn DCC will prepare the students with workshops on working conditions, vocational English as well as an opportunity to take a spanish course for them that are going to Spain. In addition, they will be coached along the way. The students that will participate in the project must pass all their courses within the program before going. The project is well in line with the National Agency for Education aim and goals both for the Hotel and Tourist program and the Business program. The aims for the Hotel and Tourist program, laid down by The National Agency for Education, says that advanced language skills as well as knowledge about destinations and routes is a requirement in the industry. Consequently, the training should enable the student to develop these skills. In the goals for the business program, the National Agency for Education, says that this line of work requires contacts between people and countries and personal encounters are important. The students should also have the opportunity of formulating and communicating viewpoints and messages in speech as well as in writing and also with the help of different media. Education should also give the students opportunity of deeper studies in English. Additionally, the internship will give the students a diploma in Europass. The DCC students will finish the project by arranging a photo exhibition with documentation from the internship. Schools from our educational group (Academedia) as well as representatives from the industry will be invited to this event. The five goals that DCC is working to achieve willmainly be covered by this project. The project leader and the headmaster will evaluate the project after the first and the second year.
