Youthparticipation without borders
Start date: May 1, 2016, End date: Dec 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project "Youthparticipation without borders" should bring young people with political interests between 15 and 25 years from Austria and Germany together. It should achieve an intense exchange between the Youth Parliaments and other participants (also with refugee background). The most important topics will be youthparticipation and -activism, as well as Migration. The aim is to improve the cooperation between the organisations, but also to encourage tolerance and appreciation and to collect new ideas for upcoming projects. This Youth Exchange provides space for 12 participants from each country, irrespective of background and origin. Besides workshops and discussions the project includes many activities like an Erasmus+Flashmob, political movie nights and a political paperchase game. For sure the highlights will be the visit of the German parliament in Berlin, the workshops on top of the mountains (Seegrube) and the talk with politicians of Innsbruck. The major coordinator is the 'Innsbrucker Jugendrat' with Susanne Meier from the association 'Kinderbüro'. After the project there should be a consecutive cooperation between the two Parliaments and some acquired ideas should be implemented. Also, there is the opportunity for the participants to develop their knowledge about several cultures, which will matter later in life.
