Youth with Old Master of Diminishing Jobs'' - ''Gençler Kaybolmaya Yüz Tutmuş Mesleklerin Ustalarıyla''

Within the scope of "Youth with Old Masters of Diminishing Jobs'' project, 56 young people from neighboring countries and Turkey will come together in Mardin dated 1st-19th July 2014. They will take photos related some local branches of crafts “facing with extinction” by using techniques of documentary photography, documentary production and journalism; they will prepare a newspaper by supporting these photos with information and interviews. The project will be implemented with the cooperation of craftsmen in historical bazaars and the youth. Young people who are invited under the project will be introducing by applying mass learning techniques and develop interpersonal and cultural dialogue. They will learn media and communication techniques, all preparation steps of newspaper, shooting and preparing documentary, and to use computer programs at basic level in technical (workshops) studios. First of all to create a work together requires knowing each other. The youngsters will stay throughout 19 days period; they will eat same foods and breathe the same air. They will fell the common soul of being in different city and they will share their experiences, observations with each other. As being people of different cultures and they will create common sense of belongings by means of the project. This will enable to know each other very well and sincerity. This will be possible with enhancing socialization, encouraging being together with all differences. Priority target is to bring universal thinking and perception together with gained practical experience on sustaining existent belongings and national feelings. To create a work together requires to knowing each other very well. Within the scope of project, it is aimed to thinking on young people’s unemployment status, looking for new solutions in long term, acquiring new skills, improving foreign languages. Mass learning techniques will be used to have participants take active role in every step. By means of this project we are aiming to make young people and local community aware of Erasmus+ programs and increase participation.
