Youth sexual health education in collaboration with local actors
Start date: Mar 31, 2007, End date: Dec 30, 2007 PROJECT  FINISHED 

The existing know-how and materials about the sexual health promotion of young people is collected. Based on this, the needed and missing material will be developed in the project. A network of local experts (2-3 persons) is established in the partner municipalities. The group includes e.g. a school nurse, teacher and NGO representative. The cross-border collaboration helps this core group to develop the material. The project offers knowledge and experiences to people who work with young people. The project also supports the cross-sectoral collaboration in the field of sexual health promotion. In the long term the goal is to prevent the sexually transmitted diseases and the discrimination of the HIV-positive people. The result is achieved by affecting the knowledge and attitudes of the people working with young people as well the youth themselves. The concrete activities are cross-boarder gatherings, visits and seminars.
