The topic that connects us is sport and its various summer Olympic disciplines. The goal of the project is to inspire and teach young people about active and healthy lifestyle, to promote the advantages that sport provides and popularize Olympic disciplines. We want to encourage youngsters to act by showing that sport is the answer for a healthy and long life, that anyone can do it and that it can also be done anywhere. Moreover, by having participants from different countries we will promote friendly and healthy competetive spirit, skills of working in an international group, breaking stereotypes, search for common values and strenghten the feelings of solidarity and tolerance to diversity. During the 8 days of the project we will work with methods of non-formal education, which will include sports activities in the open air, workshops, games, cultural evenings or events organised with locals. Our project will be based on intercultural learning, stimulating creativity and active participation of youth. The result of our project will be the grown comprehention of active and healthy lifestyle, new competence skills and understanding of socio-civil attitudes. The long term influence, we would like to achieve, would be growing physical activity among youth and awaking local environment to act.
