Youth In-Formation
Start date: Aug 1, 2013,

The project Youth In-formation took place in SlanA1, Czech Republic, and it is represented by long-term EVS project involving two volunteers from two different countries. Both volunteers, who came from Spain and Armenia, were working in our organisation for 12 months, one of them started in September 2013 and the second in October 2013. Volunteers were involved in activities of leisure centre DDM Ostrov, but they mostly worked in one of its departments, in Youth Information Centre, where they were participating in activities for young people and they were creating outputs of hosting organisation´s work. Apart from that, they created several projects by themselves, for example Spanish or Armenian evenings, regular English Club (meeting for youth to practise English), Spanish Club or Movie Makers Club. They were also involved in activities for children in local library and in project „SMOK , where they created a serial of workshops called „Life as we know it , where they presented actual social topics of their countries. The main aims of the project were to promote solidarity and intercultural understanding among young people, to raise intercultural awareness of local community and to promote international opportunities that EU offers to young people.
