The motivation for this exchange is caused by the success effect of last year excange. The group of Dutch people got involved with Romanian people, the contact was spontanious and they had a lot of fun with each other. Reason for this exchange was the alcohol abuse of the young people in Romania in their sparetime. Meeting eachother and learning an alternative way of spending time and having fun made them decide to change the completion of their free time with a dancegroup. The Romanian youth had the wish to come to Holland en meet the youth there. But they do not have the oppertunity to come to Holland because they can not earn the money in Romania and the stay in Holland is much more expensive than a stay in Romania.When the young people come to Holland the purpose is that the youth is starting to realise that they are equal to eachother and everybody has the same oppertunities als long as you take them.About 60 people participate in this exhange. The activities are planned to have fun but also to learn in an approachable way. By challenging the youth to reflect on their own accomplishments every day, they learn who they are and see what talents they have without knowing it. Or discovering a talent with someone else and respecting him or her for that.On the long term they all have a precious time to look back to and they wil realise there is a group somewhere else in Europe who did the same en they can share the experience and encourage others at home or school to learn the English language or to communicatie with others on alternative ways .
