Youth - Global Awarness and Voluntary Service

The project is a combination of short term (3 months) and long term (12 months) volunteer exchange that will happen in the Philippines that will directly benefit 16 young people with fewer opportunities. The project aim to increase the participation of young people with fewer opportunities in volunteer activities overseas that will surely contribute to youth mobilization, integration and employability. Using global environment and climate change adaptation and mitigation designed volunteer activities that will foster deeper intercultural understanding and cooperation. The volunteers will experience sustainable agriculture, production, consumption and lifestyle through their exposure from different activities designed for the service. They will also work closely with indigenous people that will teach them survival techniques using available resources in tropical forest environment. The volunteers will be exposed in wide arrays of sustainable development youth activities such as outdoor camping, sports and farming. All of which shall optimize non-formal strategies and methodologies that will pave way for volunteers to develop key skills and competences relevant to strengthen their participation and contribution in the society not only in the future but also in the present.
