Youth for Intergenerational Solidarity
Start date: Dec 1, 2012,

"Youth for Intergenerational Solidarity" is a project that aims to provide a group of youth/social workers and youth leaders with strategies, tools and methods, in order to increase the active participation of people from all ages, especially through doing intergenerational youth work with young and elderly people. This will be achieved through providing the participants with theoretical knowledge and real practical experience of doing intergenerational youth work, as well as with enough space to share positive practices and project ideas, and an opportunity to link all the learning with the reality of their local communities. As part of the training course, community action will be implemented in the project venue, in close cooperation with a group of local young people; which should serve as a practical experience for the participants, but also as an inspiration for the local community in Kavadarci to invest more in doing intergenerational youth work in the future. The idea for this project was born at a Partnership Building Activity that was organized this year in Spain on the topic of intergenerational dialogue and solidarity. Implementing this project, the partners that met at that event tend to make meaningful contribution for celebrating 2012 as European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations. The training course will last 7 days working days and will gather participants from Bulgaria, Egypt, Georgia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain and Macedonia. It will take place in Kavadarci, Macedonia.
