Youth for Heritage!
Start date: Jan 18, 2016, End date: Jan 17, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Nowadays there is a real problem existing in the historical cities of Europe and EECA countries. The old buildings that represent the cultural heritage and reflect on the history of the city and its citizens, are being demolished or rebuilt and transformed into modern hotels and office buildings, leaving both the citizens and visitors without a connection to the past and their roots. We, young Europeans, feel that this undermines the cultural diversity of Europe and therefore action should be taken to value and safeguard our heritage. The Youth Exchange ‘Youth for Heritage!’ aimed to support the involvement of young people in the sustainable development of urban communities and to promote the understanding of the importance of protection of cultural heritage both on national and international level. The project consisted of 2 parts - Advanced Planning visit for youth leaders hold 11-14 March 2016 in Chisinau, Moldova and youth exchange itself.
