Youth Entrepreneurship Through Sport
Start date: Feb 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Europe is facing a high number of unemployed young people. The consequences of high unemployment are not mere economic, but Europe also risks a 'lost generation' of young people that, because they cannot participate in society, deals with low self-esteem, low motivation and even radicalization of thoughts and cynicism. It is a threat to the personal development of these young people as well as society and Europe as a whole. “Champions Factory” Sports Club develops project “Youth Entrepreneurship through Sport” (YES), because we believe that it is important for young people – as well as for the future of Europe - to be inspired to learn, to develop their talents, skills and attitudes towards themselves and towards society. Activities: 1. Seminar “Youth Entrepreneurship through Sport” - Place: Sofia, Bulgaria - Date: 6-13 April 2015 - Number of Participants: 49 - Working language: English - Work methodology: Non-formal education methods. Partner organizations will prepare workshop/debates/presentations/ etc. that they will present during the event. 2. Training Course - Place: Cairo, Egypt - Date: 31/08-06/09 2015 - Number of Participants: 49 - Working language: English Ms. Shirin Amin (YES leader) and Mr. Didar Amin (YES moderator) are graduates in “Sport Management” from the National Sports Academy “Vassil Levski” in Sofia, Bulgaria. They have faced youth unemployment in different fields in their personal lives and they have observed, researched and concluded that a need of projects as YES is greatly needed. The statistical information and observation showed us, that a need of communication between different geographical regions of Europe is required for: -sustainable development of youth employment through sport; -Overcoming the skills gap - One of the issues is that national education systems simply do not offer training in the skills required for the labor market, leading to thousands of unfilled positions across the continent due to a chronic skills gap. Mr. Mostafa Shahat from G.O.L. will be main contact person with local NGOs in Cairo, Egypt and logistics responsible for the Training Course has an enormous experience in the field of Youth Entrepreneurship Empowerment. YES’ GENERAL AIM is: “Champions Factory” Sports Club is going to involve youth workers/leaders in two interrelated and interconnected events – a Seminar “Youth Entrepreneurship through Sport” in Sofia, Bulgaria and a Training Course in Cairo, Egypt, in order to boost and expand the capacity for developing and sharing their entrepreneurial skills through sport, with the aspiration of increasing the employability of young people.
