Youth Empowerment 2015, is a proposed youth exchange that four European associations of Estonia, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Spain, will develop in north Madrid, in the municipality of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, on days from 28 November to 7 December 2015. With the project, we want to work around some issues of high relevance and concern to the young people of our region, such as: - Youth unemployment - Promotion of Europe as a common space of opportunities - Local Participation - Community; and, - The application of new technologies to our workforce development. Youth Empowerment 2015 provides for the participation of young people with the following profile: Country teams made up of 10 young people aged between 18 and 25 years. Young students, workers and unemployed, ensuring that there is a balance between boys and girls in each group. The goals we intend to achieve are: - Develop and disseminate, through the creation of spots / videos / short the implications of new measures and policies because of the economic crisis in order to generate, in the project's participants, a new model of awareness and European citizenship, through the imperative, "We are the Europe we are building," collaboration, altruism, class consciousness, solidarity and social participation, reflecting the problems and situations that young people and adults live in each of our countries respond to a cause global, and only coordinated action through the involvement and democratic participation can provide real answers to these realities. - To raise awareness, disseminate and promote the concept of European citizenship, the sense of unity that emanates from it, which has been achieved in Europe and expectations that we want as young Europeans get; generating and developing new tools / responses to achieve promote knowledge of the basis on which is born the concept of citizenship and European awareness - Strengthen our community identity of the European Union, through knowledge, ownership and commitment to their rights and duties - Strengthen social skills through group dynamics, participants through experiential learning different situations that require an appropriate response in each situation: Teamwork, assumption of roles, companionship, proper resolution and moderate conflicts, collective thinking ... - To publicize and share the different realities that we live in each of our countries derived from our own cultural identity as well as the most relevant aspects of the participating cultures: songs, dances, food, traditions, legends .... To achieve the objectives, develop, among others, the following activities: .- Recording and editing of spots, lectures / debates, forums video, presenting realities of each country, lectures, group dynamics, cultural tours, meetings with technicians responsible for youth and social centers. To build and foster relationships among participants, activities are carried out through work in small mixed gender groups and countries which in turn will promote a process of decision-making where participants can proactively take small responsibilities commissioning and project development. Along these lines, every night we will meet the heads of each country and one participant from each group to bring democratic progress of the exchange.
