Youth clubs of Armenia

The project "Youth Clubs of Armenia" aims to send 3 volunteers with fewer opportunities from the region “Ile-de-France” on a European Voluntary Service short-term and long term project. This project will take place within the Federation of Youth Clubs of Armenia (FYCA), an organization based in Yerevan. FYCA unites more than 70 youth clubs, centers and organisations from all over Armenia. The volunteers will assist in: -Preparing and making presentations, organizing different promotion actions, work with local volunteers -Assisting FYCA during the preparation and realization of local activities and community development projects - Visiting different youth clubs, taking pictures and organise exhibitions Our project will give to volunteers of different backgrounds a chance to know and compare different traditions, customs between their country and Armenia and will become cultural messengers. Above that, participating in various activities, the EVS volunteers will appreciate more that keeping ones’ cultural traditions and heritage is very important and traditions is what binds a nation and keep it united and unique. This project aims at promoting the discovering of Armenia, with the help of the local volunteers and tries to emphasize the country heritage, traditions and habits. The project will be connected with environment, culture and the country heritage, which will be explored by the volunteers through artistic, cultural and outdoor activities. The objective of the project is to enable volunteers to leave abroad in a positive context able to promote their personal and social development. Indeed, the project promotes the active participation of young people, initiatives, open mindedness and European citizenship.
