YOUTH 2.0: promotion of European Digital Interculturality

Youth 2.0 hasbeen an exchange initiative of 38 youth workers with ages between 18-35 years old, coming from 5 countries (Portugal, Italy, Jordan, Cyprus and Spain), that got trained and learnt about the use social entrepreneurship and innovation tools and methodologies to be used later in their own countries in order to promote youth employability and to promote social inclussion, entrepreneur spirit and new professional and technological (ICTs) skills. This project arises in a complex context (as current days) regarding the accessibility to employment for youth and considering the entrepreneurship as an strategy to visibilize and plan their future in another manner. The key elements of this proposal are: social entrepreneurship in local level, social innovation, applied used of ICTs towards employment, and active citizenship. This proposal will have 3 phases of activity: PHASE 1: Preparation of tools, methodologies and contents for the training/exchange of youth workers. Each participant had an identification form that allowed to the promoter organisation to identify the main interests of participants to facilitate the development of the activity. On the other side, participant were provided with detailed information about the activity program, logistical issues, information about the hosting city (Valencia), and in addition information regarding security issues, contact telephones, turistical information, etc. PHASE 2: training / exchange of educative tools between youth workers (Valencia – Spain). This event took place in Valencia from 28th April until 4th May 2015. PHASE 3: evaluation: impact analysis of the training for youth workers and volunteers, possible opportunities of replying of this training and new ideas that can come out by this experience. For this phase 2 activities were developed: - PARTICIPATIVE-EVALUATIVE DINAMICS AT THE END OF THE ACTIVITY (closing event) where by a focus group and by pannels for comments and suggestions participants could evaluate what was learnt, lived, positive elements, questions to be improved, etc. There was also time to talk about future projections and about POSSIBLE IDEAS to develop later on (common projects, coordination, alliances, etc.) - ONLINE QUESTIONNARIE (anonimous) to valorate all the activity (logistics, coordination, activity spaces, hosting place, ludic activities, contents, methodology, skills and capabilities of facilitators, scope of results, etc.) - Important to point out that during the developement of the activity a FACEBOOK USER was created for all participants in order to share information, ideas, calls, news about our organisations. It is still on working and allow all of us to keep in contact. The methodology was participative, collaborative, giving special attention to the entrepreneur spirit, personal and collective motivation, initiative, motivation. The training was collaborative and practical in order to learn about and put in practice the use of the shared tools. THE RESULTS AND IMPACTS ACHIEVED WERE: - 38 participant persons with more skills an tools to be MULTIPLIERS of tools and knowledge to promote social entrepreneurship and innovation in youth throw the use of ICTs - Creativity and entrepreneurship was promoted throw key tools and innovative methodologies, the use of ICTs within specific applications that will facilitate the information exchange, diffusion of creative messages, etc. - Promotion of initiative spirit, solidarity and creativity among youth from 5 different countries in Europe and a partner country.
