PROJECT SUMMARY During this project the school has achieved goals in three main areas: - developing entrepreneurship education, which is the goal of the Erasmus + programme for this sector - making the school recognizable on a European level, which will contribute to the increase of activities and the international dimension of the institution, being one of the goals of the Erasmus + programme - development of using ICT and new technologies in education, focusing on the development of the teaching profession as a relevant goal of Erasmus +, improving personal and professional competences of participants and increasing their worth on the EU job market The school has developed a new programme for teaching entrepreneurship and thus it needed to increase the participants’ skills in various areas: - increasing language skills in school management – the school principal - entrepreneurship – the English teacher - increasing language and culture skills – the school librarian - increasing language and theatrical skills – the English teacher - ICT and using advanced technologies – the Maths teacher (developing online courses), the Croatian teacher (using multimedia resources in teaching) - developing social skills – the class teacher (grades 1-4) - developing various material processing, using CNC technology – the crafts teacher - new teaching methods – the class teacher (grades 1-4), job shadowing 250 students and 9 teachers have participated in the project through the following: - regular classes (English, technical culture, Croatian, Maths, 1st-4th grade subjects) - extracurricular activities (theatre group, Young entrepreneurs, model-building group, film group, cooperative student farming group) - through subject correlation (organising entrepreneurship workshops during form teacher-student meetings and applying competences gained by teachers who participated in mobilities) - as an institution (cooperating with other schools in Europe through eTwinning projects and contact seminars) Finding partners and professional training organisers - professional training organisers were found with the help of the Comenius training database and by contacting the organisers we were informed on Erasmus + trainings - the job shadowing partners was found using the eTwinning portal and the euList database - the selection criteria include the success of prior training organisation and relevance of the topic to our project goals Activities: PREPARATION - surveys for project participants and end users on their interests - organising participation in professional training (language, culture, safety, communication and general preparation) - communicating with partners and training organisers, agreements and letters of intent, preparation of training contracts and listing competences for Europass mobility IMPLEMENTATION The new entrepreneurship programme has been implemented through: - training all project participants in the first 14 months of the project in order to create productive follow-up activities - creating a plan and programme for the Young entrepreneurs extracurricular activity - creating an online Moodle course to support combined teaching - enabling students to independently plan, film and produce films which will be used for marketing purposes - doing 5 workshops with students on team management and emotion control - developing a plan and programme for the student cooperative farming group, based on acquired job-shadowing methods - participating in eTwinning projects - organizing extra curricular activities LONG TERM BENEFITS - school headteacher - communicates with European schools on daily basis, increasing the school's European dimension - English teacher- leads the extracurricular activity Entrepreneurship this school year - librarian and English teacher - have drama class and workshops for pupils and teachers - Math teacher leads Moodle course (CARNeT Loomen) and the website with materials (ka1.check-creative-finish.eu),uses Moodle in his Math classes (Geogebra) - Croatian teacher - had workshops for teachers and pupils of Primary school Ludina and uses the knowledge within the Film club - Primary subjects teacher leads social skills workshop for the attendees of the extracurricular class Entrepreneurship LEARNING OUTCOMES AND ADVANTAGES FOR THE INSTITUTION ACCORDING TO THE SCHOOL EUROPEAN DEVELOPMENT PLAN TEACHERS (9) Training participants are now able to: - create and implement a new entrepreneurship programme - communicate with European institutions in a foreign language - improve ICT competencies STUDENTS (250) The students are now able to: - achieve better communication in English - use online resources in school - name basic entrepreneurship concepts - create a business plan THE INSTITUTION - has permanently improved the quality of its programme - European dimension increase
