You are Me, I am You
Start date: May 11, 2015,
End date: Mar 10, 2016
The project will be implemented under Youth Exchanges of Erasmus+ Program in partnership between Turkey and Romanya 14.09.2015 on 28.09.2015 upon participation of 30 youngsters in Carsamba District of Samsun Province in Turkey .
Social responsibility is a concept beyond helpfulness. It prompts the individuals to contribute voluntarily to a better society and a better environment. Tissue and organ donation is such an issue. Organ donation means that one person, while s/he is alive, permits upon his/her own will usage of his/her organs for treatment of other people after his/her death and that such person certificates such permit. Developed countries have achieved to develop self governed organizations, which are centrally controlled, through static and dynamic structures at local, regional and national levels in order to find and transplant living organs for the people in need of such organs; however, the fact that the number of organs, which may be used, is low and that the number of the potential receivers is high oversizes the problem.
The general objective of the project is to bring up a youth generation, which is conscious and responsible on organ donation and plantation. The project also focuses on human awareness beyond social responsibility and helpfulness; healthy life and health share as the sub-objectives. The special purposes of the project include raising individual awareness, increasing social sensitivity and to motivate the young people to inform their society about organ donation and guide the society for organ donation.
In line with the abovementioned objectives and purposes, the project will contribute raising the awareness of the youth on organ donation and raising social awareness about this issue. 30 participants will take place in the project, which will be implemented within the scope of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Programs in Samsun Province, at awareness raising activities for a period of 15 days.
