YOIN Morocco 2015 - YOuthwork INternational - Studyvisit for Youthworker to think outside the box

Intercultural and interreligious dialogue have like the last dramatic occurrences in Europe demonstrate great relevance. This applies also to the Youth work. Youth worker have to create intercultural learning areas and have to be competent in intercultural Situations. YOIN Morocco 2015 offered 28 experts of the international and intercultural Youth work the possibility to meet a Muslim country, the Arabic culture and speech. The current situation in Morocco offers the possibility to accompany the creation of the democratic change and to explore the developments after the "Arabic spring" especially in the field of Youth work. Five European Youth organisations of Germany, Austria and Italy organised in cooperation with the Moroccan partner a one-week Study visit in Rabat, invited to exchange know how and to network across national borders. The Bezirksjugendring Oberbayern assumed the role of the applying and coordinating organisation. The study visit to Morocco addressed multiplier and experts of the international and/or intercultural Youth work in Europe with the openness and desire for international networking, exchange and new projects, as well as professional qualification and development. The travel group was composed of participants - which have the possibilities and competences to implement international projects (with Morocco) - which want to disseminate actively their experiences and the contents of the project - whose organisations are interested in international networking and qualification Prior to the Study visit the partner organisations organised one meeting for the participants in Bolzano. It contented the preparation of the journey, linguistic animation, intercultural training and the professional introduction to the topic of intercultural learning and dialogue as well. During the Study visit from 18th to 25th October 2015 the experts met governmental institutions and NGOs of the Youth work and education. This offered the possibility for personal and professional dialogue with experts in Rabat about experiences, recent developments, projects and creative strategies. The participants established new contacts and an international network. They exchanged ideas and possibilities for new international projects. After the Study visit the participants evaluated the project in the follow-up meeting in Austria. In addition, the participants discussed the relevance of diversity for the Youth work and future projects. An international seminar (planned in autumn 2016) will be organised to continue and develop this dialogue. The participants get the Youthpass to recognize and document their learning outcomes.
