Our school is the only hospital school in our region (North Karelia, Finland). We provide schooling for children and teenagers with psychiatric difficulties. During school days those pupils are at the hospital. Because of those difficulties, are the pupils with extreme need for special education.
As the only hospital school in our area, we need all the latest international information about this kind of special education. Co-operation between another hospital schools is very necessary.
In-service training as well as work-based wellbeing is highly important in the school with these kind of demands. One way to manege is to bring new tools for teaching methods to school.
