The volunteers will be involved in the current projects of the Serfenta Association. Serfenta develops towards the protection of traditional occupations, for couple of years has been concentrated on the basketry. The volunteers will realize our goal, which are: practical protection of crafts, especially basketry, increased interest in issues of cultural heritage, revival of the environment centred around the craft: manufacturers, scientists, artists as well as providing a platform for future cooperation, opening up new prospects for promotion of crafts. We would like our volunteer to prepare at the end of their staying a short brochure about their EVS, with instructions and advices for future volunteers. Volunteer will get Youth Pass at the end of their EVS. First of all the proposed EVS project clearly fosters young people sense of European Citizenship, in the meaning that it allows the volunteer to take initiatives, experience culturally others and raise awareness about themselves. Due to the 12 months EVS placement, many stereotypes about Poland and Polish culture should disappear from the mentallity of the youth workers and youth. As for overcoming long lasting narrow minded ideas about a nation, the best way is to meet, deal and interrelate with the people form this nation. Hosting organization decided to host volunteers from Czech Republic and Spain to enlarge intercultural dimension. Volunteer will be in daily touch with locals (mostly polish and czech youth), so they will get know each other in unformal environment.
