The project which we applied for is a consortium project that includes 3 members. Our school Özkan Erdek Vocational and Technical Training Centre has taken place in the project as its consortium coordinator; Siteler Vocational Training Centre and Kazan Efes Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School have participated as local partners. 15 students and accompanying teacher from each institute have attended internship activity at Stredni Skola Automobilni in Czech Republic; 9 teachers also have observed the process at site in the same institute. The project objectives have been set in the way of needs of students and teachers’ potential-justification. In this direction; developing vocational knowledge and skill about dual-clutch automatic transmission, increasing chance of getting hired through developing vocational skill and knowledge were our project objectives for the participating students. Updating their knowledge about new systems through firm visitations and observation on site, developing both institutes and themselves by seeing new training techniques were the determined objectives our project. Developing both students and teachers’ foreign language skills, having them update their vocational knowledge and skills constantly and providing them with new carrier plans were the other objectives of our project. Students and branch teachers from Automotive Technology field have participated for 2 weeks in the project; teachers have participated within the project for a week. The participants have attended to the internships about DSG transmission system, last installation and electronic control unit on DSG transmission, troubleshooting and repairing. Participating teachers have updated their former knowledge through observing differences between our country and Skola industrial institute on site. Participating people have communicated with other students from the hosting institute and developed their foreign language skills. They have attended cultural activities and they have realized how important it is that not to look out for language, religion, race or color differences. Our students who got a chance to prove their knowledge and skills with the certificates that they have got from the overseas partners will have a chance to be hired after they graduate; teachers will also work to increase our institutional capacity and syllabus.
