This is a project that has its origins in two other parallel projects. One a democracy project undertaken in Gjøvik. The second project called young diplomats have been held in Petrozavodsk. Youngsters have even worked out the issues they want to focus on the exchange.
The objective of the project is that Russian and Norwegian youths shall meet, get to know each other, meet each other's culture, local communities and explore aspects of democracy, democratic understanding and human rights together.
The participants are a cross section of youths in Gjøvik and Petrozavodsk and gender distribution is uniform. The age of participants is 13 to 20 years.
It will be implemented two exchanges. One in Gjøvik and one in Petrozavodsk.
