YE - COMMON HANSEATIC PLATFORM - PAST IS FUTURE
Start date: Jan 4, 2016, End date: Jul 3, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

COMMON HANSEATIC PLATFORM - PAST IS FUTURE This is a project that will use the past as a platform to create a bright future. Our main tool is to establish a good meeting place for the students, as well as to secure traditions, heritage and give the next generation knowledge and insight. Both Lüneburg and Bergen is Hanseatic cities. The city of Bergen was founded around 1070 within the original boundaries of Tyskebryggen (The German Wharf) Around 1360 an office of the Hanseatic League was established there, and Tyskebryggen became the centre of the Hanseatic commercial activities in Norway.COMMON HANSEATIC PLATFORM - PAST IS FUTURE’s goal is to give 10 Norwegian and 10 German students in the age group of 13-20 years old -an arena where they can explore and learn from (and about) each other’s culture.Vestlandske Teatersenter (VT) would like to collaborate with Sabine Bahnsen - which is the leader of theatre for children and youth at Lüneburg Theatre in Germany.Through workshops in Lüneburg the students will get to know each other and we will focus on;-How to build a trustworthy character -How they can develop an idea through improvising -How they can add all this together – and make a final performance. At 9-12th of June 2016 the city of Bergen arranges international Hanseatic days. The students will be together here during this period and they will present their performance at Schøtstuene at Bryggen in Bergen as a part of “Hansa Youth”program. http://hansa2016.no/youth-hansa/In this way they will be a part of something bigger and the students will get to know other youth from different cities and countries all over the world.
