Yaşamın Kilit Noktası: "Kadınlar" - The Key Point of Life: “Women”

We are a youngster volunteer group of The Group of Young Steps volunteers came together in Gaziosmanpasa University. All group members had from different university clubs. Our common point to gave voice that we disturbed by gender roles, and to show our sensitivity about women rights. Most of group members took place in same national gender project in Spring 2011. As The Group of Young Steps its our first international experience so if we taken action with The Key Point of Life: Women Project this experience will encourage us to going forward. Our first motivation to application is the gender inequality and social parameters in Turhal. We wanted to empower women who live in Turhal by created awareness about violence against women on society and media. We had some workshops about social gender, violence against women, gender inequality and alternative campaign methods. Our project helped to encourage young people to support their opinions and deal with social problems. Also, with our project we had the characteristics of European Citizenship and there would be an opportunity for cultural exchange and met each other. It will be held on between 2-9 March 2015 in Turhal, Turkey with the partner organisations from EU countries. We had 4 participants and 1 group leader from each partner organisations and 6 participants and 1 group leader from Turkey. All together we would be 27 youngesters in this project. Also we had 2 participants from each partner organizations for Activity Preparatory Visit on between 10-12 February 2015 in Turhal.
