The project "Y-junction: Belarussian-German interaction" leads the long term cooperation of Evangelisches Jugendwerk in Hohenlohe, South Germany, and the YMCA Brest, Belarus in a new direction: A young man of Hohenlohe will do his European Volunteer Service in a country of partnership with the East. In this case the praxis will be in a more mutual way.
The volunteer is experienced in youth work of the Protestant Church on a local and regional level. He took part in different international youth exchanges and got to know members of YMCA Brest.
The volunteer will work in different offers of YMCA Brest, especially in languages trainings: German and English for children and youth. Another task will be e.g to work with ten-sing-project of YMCA Brest, it is something like a musical for youth.
The volunteer will work together in teams with others of the YMCA Brest.
On the one side this European Volunteer Service will develope the experiences and personality of the Volunteer. On the other side the youth organizations in Hohenlohe and in Brest will collect new experiences with volunteering in Brest. It can be an animation to offer more possibilities to do European Volunteer Service in Brest.
