Writing stories by the sea
Start date: Jun 18, 2014, End date: Oct 18, 2014 PROJECT  FINISHED

Because the crisis it doesn’t only causes an amazing number of young people without an employment, and decreases the number of learning opportunities available, but also because the crisis is creating an stressful situation with a negative impact in the dreams and imagination of an entire generation of young people. To avoid that, 4 NGOs from 4 countries in Europe (Bulgaria, Italy, Poland and Spain) we want contribute our bit by creating spaces where young people from those countries can develop their creativity and express themselves and their dreams in a peaceful atmosphere. Project combines 2 activities: a training for 2 youth workers, including the group leader from each organization, from 10 to 13 July in Vilanova i la Geltrú and a multilateral youth exchange for 24 young people , 15 of them with fewer opportunities and with difficulties to find a job ( 6 per country, from 18 to 25 years old excluding the leader). It will take place from 9 to 16 August 2014 in the same city, 50 kms south Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The specific objectives of the project are: • Empower young people to develop their talents, creative thinking and imagination. • Encourage young people to express themselves and their dreams. • Practice creative writing and self expression techniques. • Promote non-formal, intercultural learning and creativity as valid tools to develop job related skills and increase job opportunities. • Offer information about the opportunities given by the Erasmus+ program. • Promote cooperation and solidarity among young people at European level. Exchange program will use various non-formal and peer to peer learning methodologies, such as workshops, games, simulations, group work, presentations, role-plays, performances; together with informal learning methodologies, including cultural events, night parties and city visits. Main activities will be devoted to 3 arts: photography, writing and videomaking. Participants will learn new techniques to use those arts in a creative way and they will reflect on to what extent they can practice them while improving their job profile and employability.
