The EVS project, Working for Youth Empowerment and Conflict Transformation, shape a cooperation between Nana Sofia Hansen from Denmark, cand.scient.adm. and specialised in conflict resoulution, and who engage in conflict transformation, democratic values and active citizenship to inspire youth in the Caucasus region, and Academy for Peace and Develop, which is a youth organisation in Georgia working for peace-education and youth empowerment not least for youth from vulnerable groups and etcnic and cultural minority groups in Georgia, incl. the IDP's. This EVS projects creates a platform for Nana Sofia Hansen to bring her experience in the field of conflict transformation in the contaxt of the EU Eastern Partnership programme, and how to inspire youth for democratic values in countries neighbouring the EU. The project shapes a collaborative between Nana Sofia Hansen and Academy for Peace and Development to let this Georgian youth organisation benefit from European values and the ideas and engagement by Nana Sofia Hansen. The mutual focus and engagement in supporting minority groups and vulnerable groups in Georgia and in the Caucasus region brings a meaningful window for both the EU, Denmark and Georgia to discover how the challenges and need of the vulnerable and minority groups, and how to build specific activities and goals to develop the opportunities in a wider international horizon. 'Working for Youth Empowerment and Conflict Transfornation' creates a very hands-on experience for Nana Sofia Hansen, who is deeply engaged in the field of conflict management, peace-building and democratic values when it comes to the Caucasus region. Academy for Peace and Development seeks to be inspired by her engaement and to let her unfold her ideas bringing new perspectives and energy in the Georgian organisation.
