Our school, Azuer High School, is placed in Manzanares, Ciudad Real (Spain). It is a public school where, apart from Compulsory Secondary Education and Higher Education, as established in the Spanish Educational System, there are also Vocational Studies taught at this school, such as Facilities and Maintenance, Renewable Energy, Electricity and Electronics, Mechanical Manufacturing, Physical and Sport activities, and Administration and Management.The main aims of this project are the following:- Improving the skills of students involved and their ability to develop both personally and professionally in other cultures of the European Union.- Extending, by means of this mobility, the working prospect of our students, raising awareness of the European space, and improving their employability.- Making students aware of the importance of long-lasting education within the European space of a lifelong learning.- Improving our students and teachers´ language skills, promoting European linguistic diversity.- Meeting, learning an sharing pedagogical methodologies with other institutions, enhancing in this way, the international view of education and the best abilities, procedures and aspects among different European schools.- Getting in touch with training institutions from other countries with the aim of promoting permanent contributions between us.This project has been developed bearing in mind the needs and features of both the students and teachers of the Vocational Training Programs of our school. This general features are the following ones:- Students: In this project are taking part 9 students who are in their second year of one of our training courses. Their ages are between 18 and 26 years old, and the working fields are Refrigeration and Air conditioning Program, Electricity and Electronics, Mechanical Manufacturing and Administration and Management.- Teachers: In this project are taking part 4 teachers who work with Vocational Training courses, giving priority to those who teach in Intermediate Training courses. In the same way, and in order to get the best results of the mobility and the project itself, we will give priority to those with a good level of the target language or a good level of English instead.This project includes the following two activities:-Activity A1: Includes “Students stays abroad. Training periods in companies”. Within this activity we include 9 stays that will last 3 months each. The countries chosen for those training periods are England, Germany and Italy.- Activity A2:”Staff training stays, ( Job shadowing). For this activity we have organized 4 stays that will last for 5 days. The countries chosen for this activity are England and Italy.Once we have completed the activities, there are several results that are expected to be fulfilled:- Making our students stand out within the working field, improving their options to find a job in the countries they visit after their training periods there.- Getting contacts with other institutions that can be maintain and used to improve the international image of our school.- Making this kind of international projects an outstanding part of our school.- Increasing the interest that both European students and companies may show when taking part in projects that are developed in our country.- Promoting an international view of our school, our town and region, announcing our culture and our business networks.The long term benefits will include working close to both European institutions, school or companies and those from our region, contributing to the internationalization of our High School, and the improvement of the surrounded working field for our future workers.
