The main added-value of the project, will be that of developing urban polices that can both address the manufacturing sectors and the citizens priorities in terms of sustainable development. The goal will be to develop and share methods and practices for assessing the industrial ecological footprints of European cities, starting with the wood furniture sector and sequentially extending to other ecological and sustainability aspects of the footprint and also to other manufacturing sectors.
