"Wolność okiem kamery" (Freedom in the eye of the camera) was a youth exchange prepared in cooperation with the local community based on the interests of the participants. The youth exchange took place from 16 to 25.07.2015 in Klimontów and included 28 participants (24 young people and 4 leaders from both Poland and Ukraine). The Polish group was represented by youth from rural areas or small towns. The Ukrainian group included young people who have been indirectly affected by military activities and the crisis in their country. The main theme of the project was film and cinema in relation to human rights. It served as a starting point to talk about such issues as:- common values (including the European values)- stereotypes;- prejudice;- cultural differences; In the short term, the youth gained cultural competences (change in attitudes, increased openness to diversity) and the technical competences connected with basic motion picture creation. In the long term, the participants with greater openness will refer to EU activities and programs such as Erasmus +. They will also be more confident in international contacts.
