Every man has got their own view on the topic of freedom. Most often the differences concern its border - its size and kind.For some people the limitation might be one's supremacy or a certain system.While for others the limitation can be one's duties, customs or the need for suitable manners.Together with the freedom goes diversity. People of different nations or cultures, skin colour, different way of life.Their behaviour very often differs from our social, cultural and religious background. Is our attitude towards them positive? In the light of the events in Ukraine 'freedom' and 'diversity' will be the theme of the project "Freedom is strength". The participants of the project will be a group of 28 students (artistically talented, working in school voluntary clubs),aged 16-18 from: Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcšcych in Miastko, Tytuvenai Gymnazium (Lithuania). The realisation of the project is planned for 01.08. 2014 - 05.12. 2014 and the common activities in the Miastko region will take place on 30.09-6.10. 2014.There will be a youth team consisting of people coming from various social and national backgrounds:Polish, Lithuanians and representatives of national and ethnic minorities: Ukrainians and Kashubians. The theme of the project will focus on artistic, photography and voluntary activities. The aim of the project is creating a chance of realising the need of life in a common, united Europe,developing the openness and sensitivity towards other people's needs,selflessness, supporting the international dialogue. As a result contributing to breaking barriers, cultural stereotypes, building tolerance,openness to culture and symbols of other countries and nation.We have based our activities on the active methods of informal education. We have planned a number of integration and intercultural activities. Students from three countries are going to make use of their artistic skills to prepare and present a charity concert of word and song "Freedom is strength" to the locals of Miastko. Young people wil make use of their passion for photography by taking part in an undertaking "Capturing freedom".It's going to be a great opportunity to express one's vision od freedom and the idea of how to show freedom in authorial photography.The results of this work will be presented to a local community in art show during the concert of word and song.The voluntary actions will include preparing a charity campaign entitled " A package for Ukraine" in the local communities. All the actions will contribute to raising the European awareness, mutual understanding, sensitivity to motivation and other people's needs, common actions and developing positive relationship.
