The economic situation in Europe, if in some way can make people down and depressed, on the other side can give people inputs to find creative solutions and be able to grow at personal, professional and economical level. Our organizations felt the need to support this positive process in order to create a wave of empowerment and motivation in the young participants, tools for youth workers and multiplying effect in local communities and at a European level also. Winners On Work- WOW- is a project presented by Associazione Agrado, composed by two linked training activities with the aims to provide fundamental tools for developing the youth creativity in areas of learning attitude, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, and providing tools for youth workers in order to support this process. The first activity is a TC and will give pratical instruments to develop personal and professional competences of Youth workers and Young people, the second activity, a Seminar, will start evaluating the previous outcomes, provide more advanced tools to serve as follow up of the first TC, and will find and underline the quality tools in youth empowerment for developing sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, creating a practical handbook guide on personal and professional development of Youth. It's innovative because the two activities will take place in two different countries and will be hosted by two different partner organizations. The countries involved in both activities are seven: Italy, Portugal, Cyprus, Spain, Austria, Romania and Slovenia. A1 - Training Course in Vinci, Italy, from 19th to 26th of September 2014 (including travel days) Hosting Partner: Associazione Agrado Participants: 21 (3 from each country: 2 youth workers + 1 youth participant) Trainers/Facilitators: 3 (mixed team) Support staff: 2 persons WORKING METHODS: Team - Building, coaching, motivational support, Story-telling and videos on personal developments and success stories on sense of initiative, Role-playing and simulations on work situations, self awareness and self-efficacy development through tasks and reflections groups, work on job tools (Europass CV) and and on competences, attitudes and behaviours (Youthpass). A2 - Seminar in Beja, Portugal, from 10th to 17th of December 2014 (including travel days) Hosting Partner: Associaçao Check-IN Participants: 21 (3 from each country: 2 youth workers + 1 youth participant) Trainers/Facilitators: 3 (mixed team) Support staff: 2 persons WORKING METHODS: Team - Building, good practices evaluation, Elements of quality in the past TC tools, activities and methodologies, world cafè, Life-skills Education, creativity tools. In the beginning of the training the focus will be in self-discover, team building, breaking stereotypes and interculturality to provide the right environment and spirit for all the participants to be active during the entire process. All methods are focused on "learning by doing", so the participants will have to be active to be able to learn and develop the skills needed. We expect to achieve the development of the following skills in the participants: Self-Development; Cooperation and team spirit; Social competencies; Skills and competencies to search for job and create the own work; valorization of personal skills and competencies, raising the attitude for learning, skill to empower, coach and support youngsters, especially in job searching, motivation, carreer and entrepreneurship. Moreover an attitude to initiative and participation, self-confidence and self-efficacy will be improved by participants both in a learning group dimension, and in a single reflection on their own skills/attitudes/behaviours. Finally participants will bring their contributions on ideas, experience and creativity to support the production of the final handbook guide and website with methods and tools for personal and professional development in Youth. We foresee the project will have a deep impact in local, national and international levels: at local all the partners will create events where to present the outcomes and results of the Project, and we can count on the participation of all the organizations contacts. At the other levels the impact will be reached throuh spreding the Handbook and the website. Longer term benefits will be for: The participant Youth workers: Because they will get tools, motivation and reflection/evaluation on the techniques, experiences and ways to support and empower youth generations on the empowerment in personal and professional development. The Youth Participants: Because they will benefit of the Training and of the next evaluation in the Seminar, to assess their competences and skills and gain also practical tools of development to use in Labour Market too. The 7 partner organizations: They will empower and strenghten their partnership and create step by step a trustful net of transnational cooperation in the field of Youth.
