We are three schools with one National Education Directorate from three different countries and our project involves children from 5 to15 years old, from primary school to secondary school (mostly primary pupils) We intend to commit to a project based on environment conservation through a wide spectrum of activities and experiences. Higher order thinking skills will be fostered through the use of ICT, Science, and Art. In addition the learning of languages and learning of practical use of language will play an integral part of the overall project. Our approach to putting this vision into a concrete and pragmatic form is to divide the project into these objectives:-A better knowledge and understanding of biodiversity (raise public awareness) and loss of biodiversity's harmful effects on human health, economical issues. - Raise awareness about qualified green jobs's opportunities among the pupils to increase their choices in business area. -Personal and interpersonal development: socialization, collaboration, tolerance and respect among European countries as European citizenship. -Tackle early school leaving by the help of project activities, create rich learning environments in classrooms by ICT tools to increase motivation to learn and develop basic-transversal skills of our pupils-Development of a critical thinking, problem solving and decision making in our pupils by the project activities -Apply new - modern technologies in our daily practice, in our classrooms to increase motivation of the pupils in learning processThe most relevant priorities addressed by the project are:• Developing basic and transversal skills by the help of project activities• Increasing the Communicative Competence of Foreign Language• Promoting the professional development of staff and pupils in ICT methodologies• Stimulating active participation of especially disadvantaged pupils both in learning process and in environmental protection, importence of biodiversity in nature with certain activities. • Contributing to international cooperation to increase the quality of education • Tackle early school leaving by the help of project activities, rich learning environments in classrooms by ICT tools to increase motivation to learn. The objectives of the project are: • To be able to explore a wide range of cultural and natural diversity that exists within our own country and in Europe.• To develop pupils’ role as active citizens and to cooperate on shared initiatives to conserve and respect the environment and to adopt healthy lifestyle with healthy environment that have a positive impact on it.• To acquire knowledge and experience in different habitats, endangered animals and endemic plants.• To help pupils to enjoy expressing their emotions through language, art, music, drama.• To develop a digital environment through the mediums of email, website and Skype thus giving pupils the skills to empower them for the 21st century.• To know different ways to protect environment and teaching methods from other partners and to know different educational systems by providing opportunities for pupils and staff to take part in trans-national mobilities. • To measure the impact on staff, pupils and the school community through a system of monitoring and evaluating that includes feedback.The project is designed to include school community, surrounding schools and institutions, local community and educational authorities.With the support of these organizations it will easier to disseminate the results of the project and to give greater continuity.The benefits of this project have a European dimension since pupils can share their experiences and a common goal with other learners about environment protection. This project can provide a great opportunity to demonstrate to pupils that joint work and responsible attitudes will allow us the healthy future in a globalized world.
